“I had the pleasure of working with Kami at the beginning of the summer, 2021. It was a time when our area was in the process of opening back up slowly, but we were still feeling the effects of the pandemic. Everyone was still home most of the time at my house, including my husband who continues to work from home, and I needed to do some deep digging into what I needed to create in my life to make things bearable for myself, now completely stripped of any alone time for over 16 months with no end in sight.

Kami helped me take a hard look at my daily habits and routines. There was never a sense of judgement, just a wide-view lens at the way things are now in order to help me see where I could make some changes to get to where I was hoping to be. It was wonderful to talk to someone who really listened and seemed to understand. Kami articulated that understanding by continuously reflecting back to me what I had said, making me feel very heard and seen. Kami made gentle suggestions and we talked through ideas to come up with short-term, attainable goals for the upcoming week that I was excited to try. Each week I found myself looking forward to meeting with Kami again to share with her what worked, what didn’t work and make a new plan for the following week. I was able to feel more positive and hopeful in general. If something we tried didn’t work I never felt like a failure. I was able to talk through why it didn’t work and make a new plan. The things that DID work, made a huge difference even if that change was very small. Overall, Kami made me feel more positive about my future and capable of making changes to benefit myself and subsequently those around me. Kami helped me climb out of a rut I wasn’t fully aware I was in, like a hamster running in a wheel and going nowhere. Kami gave me the tools to hop off that wheel and get productive!

“I first met Kami at the very beginning of my breast cancer diagnosis. I was overwhelmed and very frightened; however, after our first conversation, I knew I had found good support. “Kami is phenomenal at what she does as a nurse coach.  Drawing on her numerous years of experience as a nurse, in a hospital setting, she offers sound advice to individuals trying to navigate various conditions or health concerns they are experiencing.  Having been faced with some medical issues and mid-life aches and pains, I was looking for someone who could assure me that I was “on top of my game”, so to speak, and doing the best that I could to maintain my health and wellness.

Weight management is also a tricky topic as we age. Our hormones can spiral out of control leaving us in uncharted territory wondering why our bodies suddenly seem to react differently to the same foods we’ve always eaten in the past.  Kami can provide nutritional guidance and supplementation advice.  Encouraging me to do some daily food logging, planning and light exercise, Kami has helped me to reduce cravings and identify “triggers”.

Finally, I’ve often have blood work and other diagnostic tests done, but I find that my doctor or nurse practitioner doesn’t always have adequate time to really sit and answer my questions.  Kami was able to educate me and walked me through my results.  This helps me to set healthy goals for myself and to understand where I may want to focus my attention.

What I like most about Kami is her optimism!  I am confident in what she says and I feel I can trust what she tells me.  She frequently has scientific data to back up her information.  She is empathetic to the demands of everyday life and the challenges we face;  working, parenting, caregiving, etc. .  She will motivate you and  provide you with helpful tools to put in your toolbox on your journey to wellness and happiness.”
