I thought I was going to be the exception. 😅
I really believed I was ahead of the game.
I’m a nurse.
I’ve worked in healthcare for over 30 years.
I exercise.
I eat pretty well.
I understand the body.
So when women older than me talked about how hard menopause was, part of me thought:
“That won’t be me.”
Then my early 40s hit and my body basically laughed in my face 😂
First it was the joint pain.
Then the periods from hell.
Like…
bleeding through clothes level periods.
Then the hot flashes.
The horrible sleep.
The brain fog.
The mood swings.
The exhaustion that felt deeper than just “being tired.”
And I was PISSED.
