Meet Your Coach

Hello, I’m Kami Schaal, and I’m thrilled to welcome you here. As a registered nurse with over 25 years of experience and a special needs mom, I understand the immense importance of a woman’s health and well-being. We are the center of our families and communities, the ones who carry the world on our shoulders. From managing schedules to creating to-do lists, preparing meals, and cleaning up life’s messes, we play countless roles in our families and careers.

But in the middle of it all, we often forget to care for ourselves. Sometimes for decades.

My own health journey led me through various diet and exercise plans, each with temporary results and relentless cycles of monitoring every bite of food I put in my mouth. It was exhausting and unsustainable! When I realized inflammation and hormone fluctuations were the root issue everything changed. Creating a lifestyle that focused on hormone health and inflammation transformed not only my nutrition, but also how I moved my body, slept, and managed stress.

I’m here to guide you toward a life where you not only shed unwanted weight but also discover a newfound sense of balance, energy, and joy. My holistic approach focuses on YOU and your unique needs. No cookie-cutter diet and exercise plan here!

If you’re frustrated with the way you feel in your clothes lately…I get it.

Most women immediately think,
“I need to eat less.”

But in perimenopause and menopause, tight jeans are often because of:

💪🏼Loss of muscle
🙁Increased inflammation
😖Chronic stress
🛏️Loss of restful sleep

Due to the:
🎢Hormonal chaos happening inside our bodies

Not just “too many calories.”

Before you eat even less, try this for 3-5 days:

✔️ Prioritize 30 grams of protein at every meal
✔️ Move your body consistently every day for at least 30 mins

Then try those close on again and see how you feel!

That combination alone can change how your clothes fit, without extreme dieting.

You don’t need to change everything at once.

You need a strategy that works for your body now.

And yes! Your jeans can fit again.

But more importantly?
You can look and feel like yourself in them again!

Yeah, I wish the answer was more coffee too. ☕️

Try this one simple thing instead:
Eat something colorful that actually came from the earth. 🌈

Vibrant foods = vibrant energy.

Your body isn’t begging for caffeine (or all the sugary crap you put in it)…
it’s begging for nutrients. 💛

When your energy’s in the toilet, start with what’s on your plate.

Your body runs better on color because colorful foods like bright fruits, crisp veggies, herbs, and spices are full of micronutrients that fuel it.

Those vibrant foods fight inflammation, increase fullness, and give you steady energy that doesn’t crash by 3 p.m.

This is exactly what we focus on in my group coaching program. Simple, sustainable nutrition strategies that make you feel full and have all-day energy (without tracking every bite or living on protein bars).

If you’re in perimenopause and still trying to “eat less and work out more” … please stop.

Your body is already under enough stress.

Most women I talk to are already exhausted, overwhelmed, not sleeping well, and feeling completely out of control in their own bodies. Then they blame themselves when cutting calories and endless cardio stop working.

But your body doesn’t need more pressure.
It needs support.
It needs fuel.
It needs muscle.
It needs recovery.

Because starving yourself through perimenopause doesn’t help you “get healthy.” It usually leads to more fatigue, more stress, worse sleep, loss of lean muscle, and feeling even more discouraged when the weight still won’t budge.

And honestly? It’s not sustainable anyway.

You do not need another complicated workout.
You do not need another diet that leaves you starving all day until you break down and grab the cookies from the pantry.

You need a plan that actually works with your midlife body so you can look and feel like yourself again.
That’s the work I do.

Helping women stop following random advice, create a nutrition and exercise program to lose weight and have more energy, so they can finally look and feel like themselves again.

“I’m doing all the things…and nothing is working anymore.”

You wake up one day and think:WTF is happening to me? I am eating the same food, working out the same way, but my body is NOT responding. I am gaining weight, have zero energy, cannot sleep, and I have so much anxiety.

So you try to fix it.You cut calories. You work out harder. You buy the program that promises to reset your hormones in 14 days.

Then you’re still exhausted, still not sleeping, still gaining weight, and starving, wondering:“What is wrong with me?”

Confusion sounds like:“I’m tired of starting over.”“I don’t feel like myself.”“My old plan worked for years… but now it doesn’t, and I don’t know why.”

Confusion creates urgency.Urgency makes you chase quick fixes.Quick fixes burn you out.

And eventually you stop trusting yourself — because you blame yourself when those quick fixes don’t work.

This isn’t a discipline problem. It is not understanding that the rules have changed.

When things finally make sense, you stop hopping from program to program and start doing things that actually work for your body now.

Nothing gets me angrier. Here’s why ⬇️⬇️⬇️

“Normal” labs during perimenopause don’t tell the whole story.
Especially when you still feel exhausted, foggy, inflamed, and like a stranger in your own body.

That’s how women end up stuck in their heads, wondering: • Is it stress? • Is it aging? • Is it me being dramatic?

Nope.

It’s a system that isn’t designed to measure fluctuating hormones very well.

You’re not imagining this.
Your symptoms matter — even when the labs look “fine.”

Eating healthy is actually pretty simple.

Protein. Fiber. Real food. Done.

It’s very straightforward…

When you are only feeding yourself.

But that’s not your life.

Your life looks like:

• One kid won’t eat vegetables
• One thinks everything is “too spicy”
• One only eats beige food
• Your husband wants pasta
• And you’re standing there trying to build a balanced plate out of scraps

You make everyone else’s plate first.
You adjust. You negotiate. You compromise.

And then you eat whatever’s left.

Cold.

Standing up.

This is not a motivation problem.

You are not lazy.
You are not bad at nutrition.
You are not failing.

This is a systems problem.

When you are the default meal planner, grocery shopper, short-order cook, and nutrition manager of the household…

Eating “healthy” becomes mental gymnastics.

Midlife bodies need consistency.

But you need support.

Because willpower doesn’t fix decision fatigue.

Systems do.

You don’t need to cook five different meals. You need one plan that works for everyone — including you.
Last year I made my national TV debut to share my experience as a social needs mom and how @labeledandloved has impacted my life. Still a dream!! 💜💜💜
If you didn’t tease your bangs and then plaster them with Aqua Net until the bathroom filled with fumes…you weren’t in high school in the 80s.

Killing the ozone layer one can of hairspray at a time.
Feeling overwhelmed with what to eat?

You’re not alone. Most women in peri or menopause are juggling a lot (work, aging parents, busy family schedules, etc), and the last thing you need is anything to complicate your life!

Here’s what I know for sure after working with dozens of women: you don’t need to overhaul your entire diet. You need to eat enough of the right stuff, especially PROTEIN.

Protein helps you:
☀️stay full longer so you aren’t hungry all the time
☀️keep blood sugar so food cravings are quiet
☀️maintain lean muscle to keep you strong

Figuring out how to eat enough protein can feel like a full-time job…so I made it easy for you.

👇🏼Comment PROTEIN, and I will send it to you.

Because eating to meet your body’s needs doesn’t need to be hard.
You were taught to:

* be helpful
* be reliable
* be the one everyone can count on

So you say yes.Even when you’re already stressed out and overwhelmed.

And over time, that turns into:

* burnout
* resentment
* feeling like you have no time to take care of yourself

But no one taught you how to say:

“Let me check my schedule.”“I don’t have capacity for that right now.”“Not this time.”

That skill?It’s called boundaries.

And without it…You will always feel exhausted.
